Florida House votes to let Bush intervene
The Florida House voted 68-to-23 Monday night to give Gov. Jeb Bush the power to issue a "stay" in the case of a brain-damaged woman whose feeding tube was removed last week by her husband's order.
The Senate plans to take up the bill Tuesday
Almost a week. Almost a week.

Thank God!

OMG!! COuld they possibly move any slower!!
I'm glad Gov. Bush found a way. I hope it works TODAY. I also realize that passing it off on the legistlature gets him off the hook. My husband says it'll be great - they can pass this bill in memorium if they don't STEP ON IT!

Word at Mark's blog is that the bill cleared the Senate committee and will be voted on at 6:45pm.
Before you start complaining about the slowness of it all, please read Meg's comments at Mark's post.
Believe it or not, this is light-speed quick for a legislature.

Light speed indeed! Legislatures generally make turtles look like speedsters by comparison!
