But seriously, if you are puzzling over what to get your Catholic loved one who has everything, I'd like to suggest something Catholic and vintage, probably via Ebay. I wrote an OSV piece about this a couple of years ago, and often buy stuff myself. There are lots of people selling Catholic "collectibles" on Ebay, but I really only like to buy from people who I'm sure value the items for what they are, and see their business as a ministry of sorts.

It might make you a bit sad, seeing all of these things for sale on Ebay, especially those items that were once obviously in churches or convents, but...there they are.
Or you could just stick with the Brick Testament


Is it proper to "buy" relics, altars and other sacred items?
i have no problem with say rosaries etc. but relics, especially that they can be purchesed for sacreligoius purposes[sic] make me want to have ebay not sell them.
