Michael is always finding interesting stuff at the Reuters raw feed site, but I always forget. I don't know why, because it's well worth a daily visit - I can't directly link, but if you go here and look down a bit, you can click on the Vatican channel
We found the feed of the Pope meeting religious leaders Monday morning and the video of heads of state greeting him to be particularly fascinating. What is the Buddhist monk so excited about? What is Jeb Bush saying to the Pope with such intensity?

Maybe there is an inside joke about what the Pope said about Buddhism a few years ago, ummm, you know.....(blush)

The first thing I noticed was that Pope Benedict is not riding in the Popemobile but rather in an open Jeep type vehicle. Thanks for the link. I didn't know this kind of thing was available.

It was very touching to watch Governor Bush approach the Holy Father. Not only did he kiss his ring, but then he knelt to speak to him so earnestly! What is particularly amazing to me, is that he respsonded this way as a convert to the faith and someone who might not be as "constitutionally" inclined to such conduct as someone brought up from their youth in the Church (none of whom, I might add, reacted the same way).
